Outreach
Community outreach is a key aspect of spreading awareness of who we are, what we do, what services we offer, and what resources we have available. It allows us to reach and help those who otherwise would not even know to help us there.

Gordon County Chamber Of Commerce
Quinn Durrant visited the Chamber of Commerce. He told them about the center. After hearing about the center, they told him he should visit the Volunteer Action Center as well. When he was there they gave him a warm welcome and said they would be contacting us to learn more.

Gordon County Senior Center
Quinn Durrant visited the Gordon County Senior Center. When he was there the staff welcomed him. He explained who we are and our services. They were gladly willing to have some of the center's brochures and said that they would like for him to come back and give them a presentation.

Rockmart High School Job Fair
Emily Smith and Tonia Clayton attended Rockmart High School's Job Fair. When they were there they reached out to the 500 students that attended the school. They let them know about our services and what the center does. They also shared some of our success stories with the students.

Trick or Treat on Broad Street in Rome
Emily Smith (Left) and Quinn Durrant (Right) handed out candy and the centers brochures to the children of the Floyd County Community. Doing so spread the word about the Center and our services.

Walker County Transition Fair
Carressa Hann (left) and Emily Smith (right), attended the Walker County Transition Fair where eight different schools came to see different vendors. While there they handed out information about the center as well as information about the classes that the center offers.

2022 Business Expo
Emily Smith (left) and Carressa Hann (right) attended Floyd County's 2022 Business Expo. They reached out to all ages and let them know about our resources and events coming up. They were able to give two people the information they needed to stay independent.

Cedartown High School College and Career Fair
Emily Smith (left) and Carressa Hann (right) outreached to Cedartown High School to let 600 students that attend the school know about the Center and what we do to help our community.

Coosa Valley Fair
Emily Smith (left) and Carressa Hann (right) outreached the at the Coosa Valley Fair on Senior Day. They attended to let the community know about the resources we offer and to also connect with other resources out in the community.
